Would the Thunder have Won a Championship if the Big 3 Stayed Together?

The Oklahoma City Thunder are the first franchise in NBA history to draft 3 MVPs. Those 3 players are James Harden, Kevin Durant, and Russell Westbrook. These players have gone on to do incredible things individually, but imagine having 3 future MVPs on the same team at once… while they were young. This is certainly a recipe that screams multiple championships. Many people assume had this big 3 stayed together that they would have won multiple championships. How can we truly know if that’s a guarantee?

I’m not completely sold that they would have won a championship guaranteed, and that’s mainly because of Harden. For one we don’t know if Harden would have flourished into the super star that we see today. For all we know he could have ended up a step up from a Manu Ginobili. No knock on Ginobili but he’s certainly no Harden, or maybe he is and we never really had the chance to see how great he could have been because of his team situation. People forget that Harden was a 6th man, while he was getting ample playing time, him coming off the bench with 2 superstars beside him might have limited the world from seeing the plethora of moves that we see from the beard today. Ginobili has had a great career in his own right. He’s a hall of famer and was pivotal for the Spurs in all of those championships, both in the team getting…
